We started the morning at the Mountain Garden Club's annual plant sale. We only bought one plant--a bleeding heart--because we knew we had a lot of plants we brought from Alabama waiting to go in the ground.
The next morning, we worshiped with our Highlands home church, First Baptist Church of Highlands. After a light lunch, we returned to the garden to work a bit more. Phil did a bit of weedeating while I swept the rock paths and steps leading up to Two Holt.
The last plants to go in the ground were five Frankly Scarlet daylilies we brought from Alabama. These daylilies were planted in memory of my mother, a huge Gone With the Wind fan. The blooms are a lovely red with yellow throats. Now I feel as though I have a little bit of Mama at Two Holt.
