Phil finished this little narrow path in one day to begin his stone path project. This path veers off the site of the future main path to reach the deck. Day Two of path building...the main path begins. Day 3 of stonework...the main path continues! It's also much easier to see the layout of the garden now. All of the dirt areas will be added to the garden. We will certainly be busy planting in 2013! This area of stonework below is defining where the garden area will cut in to the path. I will be looking for a large leaf yellow hosta to accentuate this spot. I think the yellow hosta will visually pull you along the path and right up to the yellow door. :) Phil is working on the steps leading up to Two Holt from the parking area. Phil decided he liked the paths better with charcoal gray mortar instead of gravel between the stones so he went back and started adding mortar to the paths. If you know Phil, you know that he rarely completely finishes a project so I'm not sure when the paths will be completed!

Phil has done a masterful job on the stone paths. The curvilinear shapes are really beautiful.

Yes Larry, he has! I love to tease him about seeing projects all the way through to 100% completion...something he rarely does. But I love the work he does!
