Here are a few potting shed bench images I've collected from the Internet for inspiration. This one uses wrought iron fence sections as an accent. I love wrought iron!
The recent drought years and the deep south heat have curbed our gardening fever at home in Alabama. But the North Carolina mountain weather has helped us rediscover our love of gardening. There's not a spot suitable for a potting shed at Two Holt and watershed restrictions make us think before using our precious available covered square footage allotment. There is a little spot on the back side of Two Holt where I plan to put a potting bench. Ignore the ugliness of the area right now--it still needs painting--but I promise you that it will be a sweet little spot when the potting bench is finished! Here it is right now... We saved the old kitchen sink after it was replaced and I plan on incorporating it into the potting bench design. I want plenty of countertop space, shelving, and organizing space. I also think I'll cut a hole from the countertop and have a bin beneath the hole so I can just swipe away the dirt after working. Hmmm...maybe I'll keep the cut out circle and mount a knob on top so I can plug the hole when I don't need it. So many possibilities! Here are a few potting shed bench images I've collected from the Internet for inspiration. This one uses wrought iron fence sections as an accent. I love wrought iron! And another one using iron detail... Or how about this one made from an old door... Or maybe I can use one of the old cottage windows in the design like the one below... This one uses an old pot... I love skirts like in the picture below. I know I can't use fabric in the unprotected spot where I'm planning to put the bench, but could I maybe use a shower curtain to achieve the look? The one below uses old shutters and a little wicker... And I must, absolutely MUST, have a hanging sign! Send me any more ideas you have! I'll be planning my new bench all through the fall and winter!

They're all so cute. That'll be a difficult decision.
